Participate in Earth Day Activities on April 22

On April 22nd the world will celebrate Earth Day to inspire awareness and appreciation of the earth's environment. Earth Day allows us reflect on; our way of life and its impact on our environment, our aspirations, and also offers us all an opportunity to do something.

We at SonarTel would like to encourage you and other customers to participate in Earth Day activities around your community and spread the message to your friends and family.

On Earth Day people all over the world come together with a common goal - to protect and nurture our planet - and this gives us all the chance to do something in our communities. To assist you we are sharing some tips on simple things you can do right now to participate and we hope you'll find them useful and also share them with your friends and family.

Useful Tips

• Conserve water- Try not to let water run wastefully when washing anything.
• Buy Recycled - Purchase products that contain recycled-content materials as often as possible.
• Save energy! Turn off unneeded lights and appliances.
• Protect water quality! Don't dump used oil, paint, coolants or other chemicals into the ground, storm drains or garage drains.
• Use cloth shopping bags -  Buy a few large clothe shopping bags and take them along when you do your grocery shopping.
• Properly dispose of household hazardous wastes? Household hazardous waste, including paints, car batteries, motor oil, and pesticides, when not properly handled can pose a health risk to people and the environment.
• Recycle unwanted items -  Contact your city to find out ways to donate or recycle items that you no longer need
