How does SonarTel Prepaid work?
To use SonarTel Prepaid, you will need to sign up for an account. A SonarTel prepaid account can be opened instantly with as little as $10. An Account Number and PIN will be allocated to you. Once the account has been verified and opened, you can start making calls right away. As you make calls, charges are deducted from your account balance. You may add funds to your account at any time. You may use Paypal or a credit/debit card (Visa, American Express, or MasterCard) to make your purchase. All payments including credit and debit card payments are handled by PayPal. How long does it take to activate an account?
Your account is activated once you have signed up.
After signing up, I do not see an email?
Please check your spam folder. Sometimes emails sent go in there. How can I recharge my account?
There are two ways in which you can recharge your account. You can either log in to your SonarTel prepaid account online (minimum recharge online $10) or you can call the customer support number (877-220-0349) and pay over the phone (minimum recharge via phone $20). We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover). You can even recharge by using PayPal. Do you keep credit/debit card information?
We do not keep or hold your credit or debit card information. Can I use my relative's or friend's credit or debit card to purchase SonarTel prepaid minutes?
If you wish to use your relative's or friend's credit card, the card holder must fax us a letter with their signature authorizing you to use their credit card along with a copy of their credit card statement sowing their first and last name, billing address and credit card number. They should name you in the authorizing letter. Please send the fax to +1 281-398-4807 and mark it for the attention of "The Customer Department". Is the SonarTel website secure?
Yes. The SonarTel site is secure. All personal data and transaction is transferred using SSL encryption technology. Are there any hidden charges with SonarTel?
No. There are no hidden charges with SonarTel. Can I use SonarTel Prepaid from any phone?
You can use the SonarTel Prepaid service from any phone (including mobile phones) within the United States, Canada, Japan, France, Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Please note that your service provider may charge you for making calls from other types of phones such as a mobile phone. Do I need to call a local access number?
We provide both toll free and local access numbers for using SonarTel prepaid. Rates are 1¢ less per minute when using the local access number. For a list of the access numbers, click here.
Can I use SonarTel prepaid to make calls if I am outside the US?
At this present time, SonarTel Prepaid can only be used in the US, United Kingdom, and Canada. When setup, you can also decide to view your call records in the local currency of the country been used from. Can I use SonarTel prepaid to make calls to toll free numbers within or outside the USA?
No. Unfortunately, you cannot use SonarTel prepaid to make calls to toll free numbers (800, 866, 877, 808, etc) that exist within the USA or any other country.
How do I retrieve my Account Number or PIN?
If you forget your account login information, we can automatically send it to the e-mail address you used when you set up your account. Simply click on the “Forgot password” link on the SonarTel website and follow the instructions. You can also retrieve your Account Number or PIN by contacting SonarTel Customer Service (see the support page for how to contact customer service). How can I have PINLess dialing (No-PIN Dialing)?
Once you have set up account, login into your account online, in the “PINLess Dialing” section, add up to 5 phone numbers that you will likely be calling from. How do I set up a speed dial?
Login in your account online, in the "SPEED DIAL" section, add as much as 9 phone numbers that you will frequently. Make a note of the speed dial references. To use the speed dial, call the SonarTel access number, after the prompt that informs you to dial a number, simply enter the speed dial reference as stated in your account and press #. For example, to call a number that is allocated a speed dial reference of 1, simply dial 1#. How do I make another call after finishing a previous call?
Simply press the star (*) key once and wait for the prompt. How does the "Refer a Friend" promotion work?
